Kimmie resides in Asheville, NC with her husband and two dogs. Outside of work she is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) and certified SCUBA diver. She became a Registered Nurse in 2013, specializing in critical care working near family in Tampa Bay, FL. Kimberly initially started her career in public health and legislative affairs in Tallahassee, later opting to attend nursing school as a post-baccalaureate in Houston, TX. Kim is passionate about advancing the conversation and agenda surrounding healthcare access and inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. She is double national board-certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse and a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator. She graduated from FSU in 2009, with dual degrees in psychology and biological sciences (BSc). She travels frequently to work primarily with new graduate nurses. I had the honor and responsibility of carrying out the legacy of every Orlando Seminole that served before me. The club then elected me to serve as President-Elect in 2016. A career change brought my partner and I back to our hometown of Orlando, and I reached out to serve on the Board of Directors for the Seminole Club of Greater Orlando. I loved my time serving the club creating scholarships for deserving FSU students. I was approached by Max Oligario and asked to join the local Tampa-Bay Seminole Club. My volunteer life started while living in Tampa. Psychology, 2007, Florida State University "Notable Noles" is a reference to the informal shorthand for Seminoles, the Native American tribe affiliated with Florida State.Major & Graduation Year: B.S. Liang earned a doctorate at Florida State University and her undergraduate degree at Zhejiang Gongshang University in China. Liang currently provides methodological expertise on two projects for state agencies, an analysis of correction education for the Arkansas Department of Correction and a statewide needs assessment for Arkansas Rehabilitation Services. She serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment. Last year, she published an article in the journal Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal. Liang's research focuses on structural equation model and Bayesian data analysis. They were to be formally presented at a dinner Friday, Nov. Xinya Liang, an assistant professor in educational statistics and research methods, is one of 22 Florida State alumni under age 35 named to the 2018 Notable Noles, "in recognition of their significant contributions to their professions, communities or alma mater." Xinya Liang, a faculty member in the Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources and Communication Disorders, was honored Friday by her alma mater, Florida State University.
